Winners are grinners: Jamberoo Superoos U12.2 team celebrate their 4-0 win over the previously undefeated Warilla Gorillas.

JAMBEROO Superoos have taken out the U12.2 premiership with a 4-0 defeat of previously unbeaten Warilla Gorillas last weekend at Kiama Showground.

The game appeared to be heading for extra time until Keedan Daniels burst through four defenders to crash over out wide.

Inspired by Jamberoo great Noel Walsh the team spirit lifted the side throughout the match that was highlighted by the teams defensive efforts, which constantly repelled the Warilla attack.

The Gorillas crossed the Jamberoo line four times only to be held up after dominating field position for the entire match.

Ben Barnard turned in a man of the match performance and was well supported by Hamish Bennett, Mighty Joe Walsh, Kamikaze OKeefe, Slippery Soper and captain Jack Doolan.

Five eight Jarl Walker defended the line well and along with big Dave Silva, Changa Monaghan, Jacob Lee, Macca Mackander and J.J.Jolliffe lifted as the pressure mounted.

Wonderful scenes of jubilation followed, culminating in the boys being paraded around Jamberoo in an open truck in true Roo style. In a season of many memorable highlights, the Coach and manager would like to say a big thank you to the boys for believing in themselves, the teams enthusiastic water runners, the support and guidance given by Trevor and Connie and the parents for all being part of this very special team.
