NEXT Tuesday is Kiamas turn to shine once again when the Channel 7 sunrise weather team hits town.

New weather presenter Monique Wright and the rest of the weather team will broadcast live from Blowhole Point from 6am.

Kiama Tourism Manager, Nicole Smithers, believes the visit will not only increase interest in the region but display the cultural diversity that makes Kiama such a unique place to live.

One of the things the producers like is the surf culture and diversity so the different people that will be interviewed shows a good cross section of our community, she said.

Australia Day ambassador and prominent journalist Bruce Elder, local jazz musicians, Kiama Surf Lifesavers and aboriginal artists will be interviewed during the show.

Mrs Smithers is also encouraging as many local people as possible to turn out for all the fun on Tuesday February 6.
