On behalf of Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, we would like to thank the people of the Illawarra and South Coast for their generous donation of 5262 gift-filled shoeboxes in 2009, a wonderful effort.
We thank businesses and other people who have donated gifts to add to the boxes. Thank you to those who so willingly give by knitting, sewing, making jewellery, decorating small picture books, and other crafts.
Thank you to those who contribute financially to assist with the shipping costs.
To those willing helpers, who so selflessly give of their time throughout the year, we say thank you.
Our boxes have gone to Papua New Guinea, Vietnam and Cambodia. For most of the children, this will be their first and only gift.
As we have just celebrated Christmas, thank you for giving hope and joy to children in extremely difficult circumstances.
Lives have been changed and your box will make a difference.
