YOU could say it's a concrete understanding set in stone.
The Readymix group has been helping Kiama Surf Life Saving Club by supplying fuel for its surf rescue jet boat for more than 10 years.
Now the company has come to the fore again by footing a $5000 bill to repair the engine in the Toyota Landcruiser used to tow the boat.
Readymix Albion Park quarry manager Frank Lourey said the big end in the engine needed replacing.
"We said we'd support them because it's a really great community project," Mr Lourey said.
"So the guys went and got it repaired and we've kind of got that done.
"Readymix is happy to be involved in community-based projects that proudly display our trademark.
"(And) it puts us in good spirit as a good corporate citizen."
Jet Boat captain Rhys Dawson said it was great to have the support of Readymix.
"Financially, we wouldn't be able to run the boat without them," he said.
