THE replay of last seasons grand final lived up to expectations on Sunday when the Albion Park-Oak Flats Eagles produced a memorable second-half comeback to score a thrilling 40-38 win after trailing 32-4 at halftime.

The first half was all the Bulldogs, who looked anything but two-time losers already this season

Five-eighth Greg Sherwin had the ball on a string to engineer several tries to kick his side well clear.

Whatever Eagles coach Shane Sainsbury had to say at halftime certainly seemed to do the trick and they came out fired up and blew the tiring Bulldogs off the park and stormed home for a memorable win.

Simon Piminovs finished the game with his second hat-trick of the season to lead the Eagles scoring while Cole Skelly finished with 16 points from a try and six goals and they were well supported by Steve Butfield and Trent Geary, while Sherwin contributed a try and five goals and centre Nathan Barry a hat-trick for the Bulldogs, while Robbie Williams was also one of their best.
