Motor homes not necessarily bad for towns

Love them or hate them, motor homes are going to continue coming to Kiama.
If there was a designated “long vehicle” parking area within walking distance of the CBD, that would alleviate the problem of the LVs using the general parking areas.
Most motor homes are self sufficient and the owners are very responsible regarding disposal of their waste. A dump point in the caravan parks is not always accessible for the big rigs.
The Motor Home Club (CMCA) would assist with the cost of the dump point and offer expertise regarding placement.
Just because motor homers don’t always use the caravan parks, does not mean they don’t spend money in the town, in terms of groceries, fuel, pharma-ceuticals, visiting clubs, pubs and tourist spots.
Bingara in Northern NSW is an RV friendly town, ready to welcome 1000 rigs in October for a Motor Home Rally, which will inject at least $1 million into the economy – not every thing about motor homes is bad for a town.
