Under 6 White
The team played their second successful game of the year against Shellharbour on Saturday, the first at their home ground.
Although Shellharbour's attack was strong, Kiama displayed exceptional talent and enthusiasm on a very hot morning. Jacob and Ethan were unfortunately unable to attend this week.
Maddison, Lachlan and Taylor all experienced their first time in goal and performed brilliantly.
Mitchell, Max, Zed, Jacob and Dylan defended well.
U8 Blue
Kiama ventured to Oak Flats to challenge their under 8 Purple side.
The team was able to demonstrate their passing skills, putting together two goals.
The first was finished off by Joshua Spain and the second by Matt Brockman, while Che Stubbs was close to scoring.
Ben Healey, Tim Kershaw and Owen Sutherland provided terrific defence.
Rhylee Bamford and Annie Hawes some great runs through midfield.
Goalkeepers Mitchell Bartolotta and Trent Bishop did a great job between the sticks
The goals were well protected by goalkeepers for the day, Mitchell Bartolotta and Trent Bishop.
U9 Blue
Kiama played their first home game of 2007, tackling a tough and physical Shellharbour side.
Jack saved some cracking shots in the first half while Callum made some unbelievable saves in the second half.
Jordan played well up front, scoring the team"s first goal of 2007 and winning the most valuable player award.
Oscar"s defence saved some certain goals, as did that of Sam and Liam.
Conner and Boyd made some great runs while Jimmy, Joel and Eliza worked hard in midfield with great passes and tough tackling.
11A
Kiama fielded a full side away to Albion Park.
Jordan Lee-Tory and Adrian Meta put pressure on the Albion Park defence, creating many chances in the first half.
Andrew Leckey beat the Albion Park "keeper, but the ball rolled wide of goal.
When Albion Park countered, the defense, led by Jaiden Fullerton- Harvey and Murray Corradini, kept the ball clear.
Goalkeeper Kate Sinclair, returning from injury, made a great save, deflecting the ball just wide of Kiama"s goal.
The heat took its tool on both sides in the second half, with a couple of defensive blunders allowing Albion Park to score.
Kiama did not give up and the midfield, led by Mitchell Nightingale, kept pressing the Albion Park defence.
Lucy Donovan and Cameron Walters both had chances to score but were denied by the Albion Park defence.
The chase for an equaliser led to Albion Park managing a second goal.
Final Score Kiama 0,Albion Park 2.
U12
The under 12s had a 2-nil loss to Oak Flats but the score didn't refect the way the boys played the game.
Josh had an outstanding game in the goals. Tasman played well in the back defence and James was great shutting down the opposing team in midfield.
