Who do you think won the Leaders' Debate on Sunday night?

J

Jamberoo Joggers

July 01, 2009

Section: Sport

Suzanne Alexander won Sunday’s four kilometre run of the Jamberoo Joggers and by gaining the maximum bonus points has moved within half a point of the competition leader, Tony Maloney.

With the first five runners receiving bonus points, Tony found himself in the unusual situation (for him) of finishing in sixth place and having to settle for a single point for participating.

In second place on Sunday was Malcolm Stuart, followed by Randall Harris, Leesa Swan and Dave Cowgill. Oliver Stuart deserves special mention for his fine performance in his first attempt at the longer course.

Nathan Cowgill was the winner of the two and a half kilometre course with the next home being Oscar Alexander, Emily Klepczarek, Danyon Farrell and Jen Klepczarek. Oscar’s second place has enabled him to retain the competition lead with 29.5 points with the other regulars in strongest contention being Nathan Cowgill (27), Meg Behl-Shanks (25), Danyon Farrell (21), Joel Weston (21) and Tamara Weston (19).
