Guns up for Gerringong Surf Boats

Keen beach goers may have noticed a familiar sight hurtling across the ocean of late, as Gerringong Surf Club step members up their surfboat training programs.
With upwards of seven crews again competing, Gerringong is once again looking to establish themselves a premier surfboat identity.
Leading the charge from the front as always will be the wily "?Super Vets' veterans crew swept by the old salty sea dog, Mark Booth.
Following in the footsteps of the veterans is the pride of South Coast rowing, the Gerringong "?Dog Locks'.
The pillar of the local boating community the dog locks have trained the house down over winter with all crew members in especially fine physical condition.
An interesting amalgamation has seen the once warring Grinners and Chimney Sweeps crew combine to form one of the most aesthetically pleasing crews on the coast.
Swept by Ed Harvey, the boys are starting the new season with no rugby injuries for the first time in living memory and are ready to roll.
In big news for surfboat fans, the Gherkins have reformed and are looking to mirror their Australian Final feats of a few years ago.
Joining the boys in the under 23's will be Frodo and the boys from the Tackers, while in the ladies section the effervescent Kate McCallum will once again lead the "?Gezzabelles' into battle.
A new fitness program has seen the girls literally ripping the ocean apart as they set about challenging some of the top crews in the state.
