KIAMA Ladies Golf Club has made a monster donation to Kiama Council’s Christmas giving tree.
Vice president Helen Jones dropped off an amazing array of gifts donated by the club’s 85 members during the week.
“There were more than 60 plastic bags full of gifts and other big presents,” Helen said.
Among the most memorable presents are skateboards and a fish tank worth more than $100, Helen said.
Kiama Ladies Golf Club has been making donations to the giving tree for the past three years.
Members used to exchange small gifts with each other but scrapped that idea in favour of donating to the giving tree.
“We just thought it would be good to give something to the children,” Helen said.
The donation continues the club’s long record of supporting charities, most notable the Kiama Hospital and Peterborough School.
