GERRINGONG Golf Club is holding three fundraisers in November in an effort to help rebuild two greens that were vandalised.

The club's annual dance has been brought forward from February to November 17 at the Gerringong Town Hall.

This year, the dance will have the fitting theme of "green".

Berry musicians The Schooners, who club president Ian Woodlands described as "a real good band", will provide music to get toes tapping.

"They play anything from country and western to rock to jazz, a bit of everything," Mr Woodlands said.

Tickets for the dance are $25 a

person and are available from the golf clubhouse or by phoning Wendy Cutting on 4234 2004. Mr Woodlands said they hoped to raise at least $5000 with the event.

On the night of the dance, the club will draw the winners of its major raffle, for which tickets are now on sale.

The first prize winner will get midweek accommodation and breakfast for two at bellachara boutique hotel.

Second prize is an original painting by well-known artist Vivien Tanner and the third prize is a Fuji 8.3 megapixel camera donated by Roger and Belinda Wall from Walsh and Monaghan in Nowra.

Tickets for the raffle are also available from the clubhouse.

The club's third fundraiser is the Green Day Golf Fundraiser on Friday, November 30.

The event will be a three-man Ambrose with a shotgun start.

Registration is at 7.30am with an 8.30am hit off.

Entry for the competition is $60 a player, which Mr Woodlands said included breakfast and lunch at the Gerroa Boat Fisherman's Club and refreshments on the course.

"There will also be an auction and presentation at the Fisherman's Club after the game," he said.

"We are asking businesses to sponsor a hole for $330 including GST, which includes hole signage if supplied and team fees."

This is the first time the club has run a charity golf day such as this and they are encouraging people to "wear green to be seen".
