Junior A Division

In a closely contested Junior A game on Saturday, Gainsborough defeated Beachettes 16"15.

Both teams played great netball and the result was in doubt until the final whistle sounded.

Beachettes 7 had an evenly-contested game, with the girls showing improved skills and court work.

Lucy Packer and Caitlin Wallner were dynamic in defence, working hard to take front position.

Monique Cobbin moved well in goals with accurate shooting and rebounding, receiving great passes from all her circle feeders.

Junior B Division

Beachettes defeated Berry 11-4 in a keenly-contested encounter.

For Beachettes Georgia Bentley played strongly in centre court and was always a danger.

Shelley Parkinson had a great day in the shooting department and showed that she is not afraid to have a go at any long shots at goal.

In defence, Erin Chard was so determined and never gave up, picking up every ball, even some out of the opposition's hands.

Another game in the Junior B division saw Beachettes defeat Werri Beach 8"2.

For the winners, Michelle Smith, Kate and Maddy Lawler worked well in the goal-circle with some outstanding shooting, while the defence was strong overall.

For Werri, Tiarne Thomson had a great game in defence and Ashleigh McNamara surprised even herself with some great shooting. Kianna Eccles played in a position she has never played before and did a great job.

In the final Junior B division game of this round, Kiama Downs, through the efforts of Rachael Smith, Isabel Herbert and Elise Handford, defeated Kiama Central 19"4.

Kiama Central's best were Rachel Waistell, Lauren Parkes and Sevgi Murphy.
