BERRY Public School’s annual food and wine fair is on again, with cafés and restaurants from Berry, Gerringong and surrounding areas putting their best plates forwards to raise money for the P&C.
Tonight the chefs from five restaurants will offer a variety of their signature dishes from open kitchens at Berry School of Arts, with a different five restaurants featured tomorrow.
Jennifer Stewart, from the P&C organising committee, said the event was always great fun and had a big following.
“This is a great social event to sample and enjoy the array of wonderful and fresh produce from Berry and the surrounding area,” she said.
“There’s a band playing so you can have your three-course meal and then dance the night away.”
Wines for the evenings are supplied by Justin Lill and the event’s major sponsor, Great Southern Hotel Berry, supplies the beer.
All the money raised goes towards extra educational programs at Berry Public School.
The hall can hold about 230 people each night and Mrs Stewart said that, unfortunately for those who missed out, tomorrow night’s event was already sold out.
If you are able to go along tonight (August 27), tickets are $10 and are still available from Cabana Jo’s on 4464 3490.
