Abby Hall landed the biggest fish of the day thanks to a 1.26kg Cat Fish. The seven-year-old is pictured here with her prizes for biggest fish of the tournament and winning the six years to Under 11 age group.
ONE-hundred-and-29 children came together to battle it out at the annual Childrens Fishing Competition at Kiama Harbour last Sunday.
Resisting the temptation to hit the beach they rolled up in their droves from as far west as Wagga Wagga and the Central Coast in the north to be in the running for the host of prizes on offer.
Each child received a gift from Shimano and a how to fish DVD.
Seven-year-old Abby Hall put the doubters to rest after landing biggest fish of the tournament and her bragging rights are well and truly safe until next year.
The 1.26kg Eel Tailed Cat Fish also saw Abby win the six years to U11 age group.
Lachie Rogers (U6s) took out his age group for the second year running with a 183 gram Wrasse, while Liam Moore took out the U16 age group with a 600gm Morwong.
Organised by Kiama Game Fishing Club the event increases in popularity each year a must for both locals and holiday goers alike.
Kiama Game Fishing Club appreciates the support of all the sponsors for the tournament.
