THE FRIENDS of Blue Haven will host their annual fete on Saturday at the Blue Haven Aged Facility.
All proceeds will be donated to the Blue Haven aged facility in Kiama and will be used to enhance the quality of life of residents.
Friends of Blue Haven president Judith Canham believes the fete will be successful in raising much-needed funds for the facility.
"We are hoping to raise about $10,000 " half the proceeds will be kept on fixed trust for the residents and the other half will be used to buy things that the residents need," she said.
This year, the Friends of Blue Haven hope to buy a bus for the residents with some of the money raised.
The fete will host a range of food, craft and children's stalls as well as the popular auction, which hopes to raise more than $1000.
The auction items and raffle prizes have been donated by businesses and members of the community. Prizes for the raffle include petrol to the value of $500 and a hand-made patchwork quilt cover.
Mrs Canham believes the fete has been successful previously because of the wide variety of stalls it offers and the amount of donations given by the community.
The Fete will run from 9am to 2pm and patrons are invited to enjoy morning tea or a barbecue and to browse the many stalls and products on offer.
