THE Manning Street Deli in Kiama has been selected as one of the faces of the Commonwealth Bank’s next marketing campaign.
Martin Whelan, the bank’s general marketing manager, said the bank was launching an internet and print campaign about what it did to support young and local enterprise.
His team chose just three businesses out of hundreds across Australia to represent this and Sharon and Dan Henricson’s deli was one of the businesses chosen.
“One of the things we wanted to get was really good young businesses because we’re trying to get across that we’re backing young enterprise,” Mr Whelan said.
A team from San Francisco ad agency Goodby, Silverstein and Partners spent time last Thursday and Friday with the Henricsons at the deli and their new restaurant 127.
“It will be like a day in the life of Sharon and Dan and the Manning Street Deli,” Mrs Henricson said.
The couple was thrilled to have been chosen.
The other businesses being featured were a vineyard outside Hobart and a florist in Mt Annan.
