Brendan Carter charging in last weekend for Kiama. Brendan was the pick of the U12 blues bowlers after taking 4/29.

AN unbeaten century by Ben Czrykowski helped the Greg Rodgers and Associates sponsored U16as to their first win of the season against Port Kembla.

Czrykowski belted 17 fours and two sixes, bringing up his hundred with a six over backward square leg.

Melissa Harrison (49) was unlucky to miss out on a half century.

Kiama declared at 5/183 in an attempt to gain outright points. At the close of the days play, Port had reached 6/100 with Ashleigh Dowd the pick of the bowlers in the second innings with 3/20.

Well done to all players on a great team effort.

Under 14 Blues

Under 14 Whites

In the seasons best match so far, the K and R Fabrications 14 Blues and Golf Club sponsored 14 Whites played out a cliff hanger in a hard fought local derby.

After reaching a very competitive 182 last week, the Blues entered the field full of confidence but quickly realised their opposition would be no push over.

Pat OBrien made 25 and Tim Delaney added 21 as the Whites battled hard all day before falling five runs short thanks to a great run out by Tom Williams.

Brendan Carter proved the destroyer for the Blues picking up 4/29. It was great game to watch and one that all involved can be very proud of.

Under 12 Whites

The Kiama U12 Whites continued their winning form with a comfortable victory over Albion Park.

Batting first, the opposition were restricted to 6/79 from their allotted overs thanks to a great team bowling effort.

Zac McCann was the best with 2/5, while in response the locals made short work of reaching 2/80.

Matt Mahony smashed 33 not out and was well supported by the top order, in another great win and thanks to our sponsor, Kearns and Garside.

Under 12 Blues

The U12 Blues hosted Gerringong in perfect conditions at Chapman Point on Saturday.

Batting first, Gerringong was restricted to 90 thanks to the tight bowling of Ben Smith (2/8), Bryce Martin (2/8) and Jake East (2/5).

In response, Kiama needed 29 of their allotted 30 overs to secure another close win.

Bryce Muttdon carried the team with the bat and finished at 28 not out. As always, the match against Gerringong was played in the best of spirits and was a pleasure.

Under 10 Blues

Despite out scoring their opposition, the Under 10 Blues suffered their first loss of the season, going down 13/155 (11.92) to 7/114 (16.28) against Albion Park.

Jack Schneider top scored for the locals with 28 while Brendan Pollard and Coen Simon made 19 and 17 respectively.

With the ball, Brendan picked up 2/3 and Jack took a handy 1/2.
