JAMBEROO Croquet Club is celebrating after a special occasion and memorable first on Wednesday.
Croquet NSW President Jacky McDonald and state coaching director Geoff McDonald visited for a coaching session with club members.
Jamberoo Croquet Club president David England greeted the duo before the coaching session.
Geoff led the coaching by talking and demonstrating skills that will benefit all members regardless of experience.
Members had plenty time to practise during the afternoon, with personal attention from both Geoff and Jacky.
“Everyone learnt something new and took away plenty of useful tips for improvement and most importantly, encouragement,” publicity officer Sue England said.
Earlier, Jamberoo members played their usual Wednesday Games of Golf Croquet.
“The day was highly successful and Jamberoo Croquet Club is grateful that Jacky and Geoff, both also members of the 2007 State Golf Croquet Team, took time out to visit us,” Sue said.
All seniors are invited to come along on Wednesday, April 9 for an introduction to croquet. All equipment will be provided.
