JAMES Reeves and Wynn September (right) were standouts for Kiama as they recorded their second win in as many games, both against last seasons grand finalists.

After a crushing first round win over University (38-10), Kiama were too good for Tech-Tahs at the home of Kiama Rugby.

James Reeves, making his debut in first grade, started in style scoring with his first touch of the ball after some great lead up work by Chris Weir.

With the scrum in such devastating form and the back row of Tim Howard, Martin Richards and Wyn September playing such ruthless football Tech were clearly up against it and it.

It wasnt long before Jimmy Reeves crossed for number two.

Despite a Tech try early in the second half Kiama upped the ante again in the second stanza, constantly putting the onus on Tech to keep up.

Michael Quinn continued his stellar form this year with another outstanding performance.

Quinn orchestrated the win and set the pace of the game with clever running and kicking, interspersed with several trademark headshakes.

After James Reeves crossed for his third, the celebrations were already starting in the clubhouse, and This is utopia was the call from club stalwart Rob Burke.

Kiama eventually running out winners 20-8 in a terrific all round performance.

Three points went to the often brilliant James Reeves, two to the bustling Wyn September and one to Tim Howard.

Howard had an equally impressive first up game to his fellow debutant.

Second grade went down to the defending premiers 17-5 despite a gallant effort from Half Mitchell Payne and third grade had a thrilling draw.

Next round sees Kiama travelling up the long and windy Picton road.

They will face a much improved Camden outfit in what promises to be a big day for the club.
