Kiama and District Chamber of Commerce has appointed Sue Granger-Holcombe as its new executive officer.
Ms Granger-Holcombe replaces Alison Correia, who resigned from the position earlier in the month.
She has an extensive background in business and executive positions and has been a director of a technology-based company.
Since moving to live permanently in Kiama with her husband, Gerry, Ms Granger-Holcombe has been very active in the community, social and cultural affairs of the region, including as a member of the Rotary Club.
Chamber president Warwick Colbron said that, in addition to her chamber responsibilities, Ms Granger-Holcombe would play an integral role as co-ordinator of the Small Business Expo to be held in Kiama in September.
The chamber’s executive committee has also appointed Craig Hardy, a director of Grand Mercure Kiama Blue, and marketing consultant Martin Taylor to fill casual vacancies on the committee, left after the recent resignation of a number of executive members.
Serving executive committee member Dan Henricson has been appointed to the office of treasurer.
