MEMBERS of Jamberoo Women’s Bowling Club held their annual Christmas get-together and presentations during the week.
The day began with morning tea, followed by a friendly game of bowls.
Mot’s Fishy Cow Bistro had laid out the lunch tables with beautiful decorations and served a traditional Christmas luncheon complete with plum duff, cream and ice-cream.
Presentations were made to the 2007 winning Singles Champion, Mrs Gwen Roy.
President Mrs Heather Shepherd then presented the winner with a lovely perpetual shield, which Mrs Roy will hold for 12 months.
Unfortunately, runner-up Ms Jenette Campbell could not attend.
The pairs champions were then presented with their winning trophies.
Mrs Norma Davey and Mrs Evelyn O’Conner were the eventual winners from Mrs Heather Shepherd and Ms Jenette Campbell.
Unfortunately, there were no triples and fours champion games played.
Several food hampers were raffled and the lucky winners were: Mesdames B. Finn, R. Smith, D. Evans, E. Harris, G. Tate, M. Angus and L. Harris.
The club will meet again on Wednesday, January 16.
The day concluded with the president Heather Shepherd wishing all members a happy and safe Christmas and good health for 2008.
