BOWEN BEATEN IN FINAL MINUTE

Gerroa's Dean Bowen was narrowly eliminated in his round three heat at the Billabong Pro Junior on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Bowen was in second place and advancing in the four man heat but was overtaken in the final minute by Brazilian surfer Alejo Muniz. Bowen is currently competing in the next round of the series in Coffs Harbour.
