Blues explosion returns to beaches

Returning to Beaches Hotel, Thirroul this Sunday is Blues Explosion which feature two exciting new blues acts, Jay Howie and the G Nunan Band, with local favourites the Ginhouse Bluesband.
Kicking off proceedings at 4pm is a rising star in Blues and Roots, Jay Howie who’s been playing in blues bars in Melbourne with the likes of Lloyd Spiegel and Shaun Kirk.
Also performing on the Blues Explosion bill is the G Nunan Band from Sydney whose influences include Hendrix and Buddy Guy.
Guitarist and vocalist Greg Nunan has supported artists such as Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Richard Clapton and Geoff Achison.
While local band, the Ginhouse Bluesband will be closing the night and feature blues veteran, Tony Cini and the powerhouse blues guitarist Jono Dallimore.
This will be the fifth Blues Explosion gig at Beaches Hotel. To celebrate this event, a CD has been released featuring performers who have appeared on the Blues Explosion bill.
The CD will be available for sale and features local performers including Gail Page, 19-Twenty, Kim Churchill, the Boggiemen, Scratch (Emmaline Finch and Jono Dallimore) and Harmonica Ron (Ron Ind) plus others.
