THE community is being urged to support Nicole Miller by attending a benefit night at Bomaderry Bowling Club on Friday, September 28.

Money raised will be used to help pay medical fees for Ms Miller, who was the victim of a rock-throwing incident in July near Kiama Downs.

Marianne Hazell, one of the organisers of the event said, they it was hoped to raise $50,000 for Ms Miller and her partner, Andrew Timbs.

Comedian Barry McLeod will compere the evening's auction, novelty games and entertainment.

The night will feature music by solo artist Johnny Spittle and the band Backstage Betty's, with singers and dancers from Danze Gallery.

Local businesses have donated a number of items for the auction, including a holiday to Port Douglas, sporting memorabilia, homewares and a barbecue.

A raffle will be drawn on the night offering first prize as a weeks' accommodation for a family of five at Werri Beach Holiday Park donated by Kiama Municipal Council.

Raffle tickets are on sale at Werri Beach Holiday Park and Kiama Harbour Cabins.

Tickets are $30 a person and are available from Bomaderry Bowling Club.
