BELLACHARA Restaurant and Wine Lounge at Gerringong is inviting you to a screening of three short films on Tuesday, July 1.

Patrons can also enjoy a delicious three-course dinner before the screening of the three films: The Ground Beneath, Small Boxes and In Too Deep.

The short films are presented by Sydney-based company Passion Pictures.

The Ground Beneath is a drama that follows the emotional journey of a young teenager, Kaden, who lives a life of fear and threat. His friendship with Casey, the girl from school, and Lewis, a boy who spends time in his street, becomes a chance for change and self-discovery.

Small Boxes details the story of Alberto, a young Hispanic-Australian who lives with his family outside Sydney and works the night shift unloading boxes at a produce market. On an outing with his grandmother he discovers an unexpected opportunity and a buried hope is awakened.

In Too Deep is a comedy with hilarious and unexpected consequences.

The event runs from 6pm-8.30pm and the cost is $35 a person.

These films are not suitable for children; however, Jak’s Corner, the restaurant’s supervised kids club, is open for those aged three to 13 years at a cost of $20 a child, including meal.
